“Then what do you want?” Harrison asked.

I looked at Julian’s face again. At those pale blue eyes. I still couldn’t explain it, but I saw movement. Tiny. Subtle. Something shifting just beneath the surface of his right pupil.

“I want to help him,” I said.

Harrison laughed. It was the kind of laugh rich people use at board meetings when someone pitches an idea they’re about to destroy. “You want to help him. A street child wants to help my son after the best neurologists in three countries failed. Please. Tell me how.”
