At exactly 4:23 p.m., the telephone rang.

Patricia grabbed the receiver, that victory smile still plastered across her face.

“Hello?” she chirped.

Even from across the room, I could hear the voice on the other end. It was loud, panicked, almost hysterical.

“What did you do?” the man screamed. “Why are the police inside my office right now? They’re asking about some hidden compartment in the motorcycle! They’re saying these bonds are from a federal bank robbery case that was never closed! I’m looking at ten to twenty years! Who are you people?”
