I never thought my life would turn into one of those crazy news stories.

I’m just a regular guy. I deliver packages for a living.

Been doing it for 25 years in Fort Worth, Texas. I’ve seen every street, every neighborhood.

I make a decent wage. Enough to support my wife, Susan, and our two kids. But we never had much extra.

That all changed on a Tuesday afternoon.

I’d finished my route early. I stopped at a gas station on I-35. I don’t know why. I usually don’t buy scratch-offs. I’m not a gambler.

But there it was. A shiny display right next to the register.
